These terms govern your use of 18bitsgaming.com and its sub-pages and subdomains (the “Website”). By using the Website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our games have their own terms, for example Don’t Drop’s Terms and Conditions, which apply when you play them.

1. About the Website

The Website tells you about 18Bits Gaming and our games, links to our games on app stores, publishes legal and support pages (such as our privacy policy and data-deletion page) and may host the servers that power online features of our games. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the Website at any time.

2. Using the Website

You agree to use the Website lawfully and not to:

  • break any Nigerian law, including the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015, or any law that applies to you where you live;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the Website, our servers, accounts or data, or probe, scan or test their security without our written permission;
  • introduce viruses or harmful code, send automated requests that overload the Website, or scrape it in a way that harms its operation;
  • use the Website or the game servers behind it to harass others, send spam, or post unlawful, hateful, defamatory, sexual or infringing content;
  • impersonate us or anyone else, or misrepresent your connection with us.

We may block access or remove content where we think these rules have been broken.

3. Intellectual property

The Website and its content, including our name and logo, game titles, artwork, text, screenshots, music, sounds, code and design, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by the Copyright Act 2022 and other Nigerian and international laws. You may view the Website and share links to it, and you may quote small portions for fair reporting or review with credit to us. You may not copy, reproduce, sell or create derivative works from it without our written permission. Third-party names and logos (such as Google Play, Google and Facebook) belong to their owners.

4. Our games and downloads

Games are distributed through app stores such as Google Play. Downloads, payments and refunds are handled by the store under its own terms. We do not process payments on the Website. Use only official links published by us, and do not download modified or “cracked” copies of our games from other sources, which may contain malware.

5. Community and user content

If the Website or a game server lets you submit content (for example a community level, a display name, a report or a message to us), you keep ownership of it but give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it for the purpose of running the service, as described in the relevant game’s terms. You confirm you have the right to submit it and that it does not break the law or anyone’s rights. We may review, refuse or remove content and may report unlawful content to the authorities.

6. Privacy and your data

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and our Privacy Policy. You have rights to access, correct and delete your data, to object to certain processing, and to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To delete your data, follow the steps at 18bitsgaming.com/delete-data or email us. If we use cookies or similar tools on the Website, we will explain them in the privacy policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

7. Links to other websites

The Website may link to websites and services run by others, such as app stores, sign-in providers and advertising partners. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.

8. No professional advice; accuracy

We work to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but we give no promise that it is complete, current or error-free. Information on it is general and is not advice.

9. Disclaimer

The Website is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components. Nothing here removes any right you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other law that cannot be excluded.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website or from content on linked sites. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for losses, claims and reasonable costs that arise from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Website, to the extent the law allows.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Website, or to the online features of our games, at any time if you break these terms or misuse the service. Clauses that by their nature should continue (intellectual property, disclaimer, limit of liability, indemnity, governing law) continue after termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will carry a new effective date at the top of this page. By continuing to use the Website after a change, you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute arises, please first contact us at support@18bitsgaming.com so we can try to settle it in good faith within 30 days. If we cannot, the dispute will be submitted to the courts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Nigeria, which will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that nothing here stops you from using any consumer-protection remedy that Nigerian law gives you, including a complaint to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

15. General

  • Entire agreement. These terms, together with the privacy policy and any game terms that apply to you, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Website.
  • Severability. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
  • Assignment. We may transfer our rights under these terms to a successor or buyer of the business. You may not transfer yours without our consent.
